Wash off the dirt and grime
Do not use harsh shampoos to wash your hair; it strips it off all the necessary moisture. Use only tepid tap water. Hot water should be avoided.
Use the right hair products – hair care products
Avoid products with formaldehyde or alcohol — they will dry out hair. Try to use natural products that are gentler. Consult a trichologist to find out the product that is right for you.
Staying hydrated is important for healthy hair and skin; so make sure to drink enough water. Eat fish, flaxseed, nuts and other foods rich in omega-3 fatty acid. Vitamin supplements containing biotin are also beneficial.
Use a wide-tooth wooden comb
Always use a wide-tooth comb to remove tangles. Also, never use a hair brush on wet hair.
Get a hot oil massage
Once a week, get a hot oil massage. Make sure to oil your hair twice a week. Leave it overnight and wash off.
Don’t forget the conditioner and serum
Use a leave-in conditioner or hair serum daily after bath. Also go for a wash-off conditioner after every shampoo.
